Singer Rita Ora is pretty in pink on Cosmopolitan U.K.’s September cover, in a story lensed by photographer Max Abadian. The Adidas Originals collaborator is trying to leave what has been a tumultuous year behind her, including extracting herself from a contract with Jay Z’s record label, Roc Nation, and a run in with the Beyhive when she briefly insinuated she might be the “Becky” in Beyoncé’s “Sorry” single.
Naturally, she was quizzed on her relationship with the power couple, and shrugged off any implication of personal issues, and stated, “I’m still happy I’ve had this incredible experience. Jay is one of my idols and Beyoncé is obviously the queen of life. I’ll never not appreciate the experience I had with them and the things I’ve seen.” Ora went on to describe them both as “great mentors,” and added, “I look up to them a lot.”
Despite all the drama, Ora is staying busy, with more collaborations with Adidas on the slate, plus a just-announced gig as a judge on America’s Next Top Model.
