Amber Rose Hosts Her Second Annual Slutwalk In Los Angeles

October 3, 2016. Leave a Comment

Amber Rose hosted her second annual Slutwalk, once again under the perpetually sunny skies of Los Angeles. This year attendance was higher as was the profile of featured guests. Trina aka The Baddest Bitch headlined and the event was co-hosted by Joanne the Scammer. Perez Hilton also helped out with hosting and once again DJ Duffey held down DJ duties. A very pregnant Chyna Blak popped on stage for a minute, chuckling as someone in the crowd screamed, “Are you still texting bitches??”

The event lacked the heartfelt speech Rose gave last year detailing a lifetime of being slut-shamed, and it appears the women who were raped by Ian Connor didn’t appear as promised by Rose, which was disappointing.

One big positive is it appeared that there was less push back on the concept with people coming to realize that the event’s goal is to “raise awareness about sexual injustice and gender inequality” not to encourage women to be slutty (not that there’s anything wrong with that!)

Reality TV star Benzino stirred some controversy when he pushed back on the event on Instagram, writing, “Young girls need guidance! This exactly what we don’t need!!! Wtf happened to us as a society???” (See below.) Poor Benzino, apparently he doesn’t realize that the ho-Madonna construct once widely celebrated and upheld as a societal standard is now slowly crumbling under the weight of its hypocrisy. Imagine that, women want to own their sexuality and live integrated existences just like men.

Rose spoke at a press conference prior to the event and explained the goals of the event, which you can watch below, along with some of the appearances.
