As of late change has been the thing for Swedish musician Lykke Li, who in July formed a new group called Liv (Swedish for live) made up of herself, Andrew Wyatt, Pontus Winnberg, Björn Yttling, and Jeff Bhasker who she possibly married and with whom she definitely had a baby boy named Dion earlier this year.
As part of her year of change (it was her Saturn return after all), Li has also made her directorial debut with Liv’s first video, titled “Wings.” Decidedly more upbeat than her own recordings, the sound of her new band is very much “the love child of ABBA and Fleetwood Mac,” as she described it earlier this summer.
And while the accompanying video is age-restricted for nudity, it’s not erotic as much as Woodstock hippy with a bunch of humans swimming in lakes and running happily through the woods like the carefree, naked apes they are sometimes capable of being.
