Everyone attending the Dessert Trip festival yesterday got a nice little surprise when Rihanna joined Paul McCartney on stage to perform “Four Five Seconds,” a song released last year by Rihanna, McCartney and Kanye West. Introduced by McCartney as “the empress of Barbados,” Rihanna, who swapped out her dreads for long wavy black hair, wore a brown pinstriped suit and gold tinted shades. And yep, McCartney half sung/sort of rapped West’s parts in the song.
The inaugural event also included performances by Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young and The Who. Organized by the owners of Coachella, the festival has been nicknamed Oldchella because of the age of the performers and attendees.
