Stella McCartney is great and has been for a long time because she makes on point shit for cool women. Everybody is now jumping on the feminist and vegan and athletic bandwagon, but McCartney’s been there all along probably in part because she was born that way and also because that DNA was nutured and encouraged by her quasi-hippie parents.
Every season McCartney produces a print that is a signature for the season and for summer 2017, she has touched on the percolating calligraphy trend with garments that include phrases like “thanks girls,” “no leather,” “and no fur” and “all is love.” It’s not the newest idea, but the idea works because it’s taken to a new place by McCartney’s signature slick, sexy and modern take on fashion.
