Known for its success built on relationship with powerful lifestyle influentials like Pharrell Willams and Kanye West, rumors have surfaced that Adidas is in negotiations to add Blac Chyna to its stable of celebrities.
According to a TMZ anonymous source, “Adidas has offered her a two-shoe contract, with an option for a third. Chyna would also be contracted to appear at media events and wear Adidas gear during public appearances.
The article says that Chyna’s sticking point is that the German brand is only willing to pay $250,ooo, and she believes she’s worth more.
Among women, Adidas recently close out its collaborative efforts with Rita Ora and now lacks a big name female partner. In that respect, it’s plausible that Adidas is looking to add to its roster. However, the brand traditionally hasn’t partnered with reality TV stars, though Chyna’s connection to the mega-watt Kardashians could be the difference maker.
Still, she’s not known for being a big sneaker wearer and while the shot above shows here in Adidas Originals gear, it was shot over two months ago and that’s the last time she was spotted in sneakers. As well, a lot may have changed after her dramatic break up with Rob Kardashian that has Chyna’s Instagram comments filled with snake emojis.
Currently, Kylie Jenner is signed with Puma, though her sister, Kendall Jenner, hasn’t signed on with any athletic footwear companies. Kendall’s buddy Gigi Hadid is signed with Reebok and her sister, Bella, recently inked a deal with Nike.
