At an intimate event at The Ritz in Paris, that looked like a very chic, old-timey tea party, Chanel presented its Metier D’Arts collection, titled “Paris Cosmopolite.” It was Chanel’s 13th Metier D’Arts presentation, an event that is scheduled outside of the normal seasonal show schedule, and is meant to highlight the tradition of fine craftsmanship that anchors all things Chanel.
Models included Karl Lagerfeld fave, Cara Delevingne (back from a two year break from the Chanel runway), Georgia May Jagger and the runway premiere of Nicole Richie and Lily Rose Depp. Pharrell Williams also walked the runway, looking quite fly, sporting a tweed coat and a string of pearls.
Chanel’s front row included Jaden Smith, and though his sister, Willow (who is a brand ambassador), didn’t walk, she opened the event by greeting guests with a performance, singing while accompanying herself on acoustic guitar.
