Nike is definitely stoking the fire in advance of official celebration of Air Force 1’s 35th birthday next year. Last week we saw a pair of Air Force 1 and Off White kicks worn by staff at an Art Basel event, and this week Commes des Garçons is showing a black and white Air Force 1 detailed with a lace strap featuring the emoji version of the brand’s two-eyed, heart graphic used in association with its Play line.
Because this is Comme des Garçons, the messaging around where to buy these shoes is cloudy with a chance of meatballs, though the Comme des Garçons store located in Paris has stated on its Instagram account that the shoes are available to purchase at its location, and an account named @commedesgarconsxplay has listed a bunch of locations globally, though included in them are J.Crew stores, which sounds a bit unlikely.
