Vetements & Comme des Garçons Create Three Sweaters In Honor Of Queer Community

December 29, 2016. Leave a Comment

Among the many collaboration items included in Vetements‘ July presentation during Paris couture week, were sweaters made in partnership with Comme des Garçons. As it turns out, the sweaters were a celebration of queer culture with one representing the rainbow-colored LGBT freedom flag and the second showing a labrys, an ancient axe often used as a representation of strength within lesbian communities. There’s also a “fetish” sweater emblazoned with the Comme des Garçons PLAY heart.

Dover Street Market announced this week that the three “gay, lesbian and fetish” sweaters would be available at the Ginza and New York stores, as well as the online store.

Priced at $625, the rainbow and labrys sweater are available for purchase here. Alas, the PLAY sweater is sold out.
