A ton of excitement was generated by Alexander Wang’s collaboration with Adidas Originals, first revealed with lookbook images and then rolled out at the finale for the New York label’s spring 2017 presentation. Following the presentation, there was a small capsule of clothing and sneakers sold from a pop up truck in New York City on September 11th.
On Instagram today (January 30), Alexander Wang stated very simply, “Drop 2 coming soon. #adidasOriginalsxAW.”
No exact timing yet, but one has to guess featured clothing and footwear will appear at Alexander Wang stores and its site within the next couple of weeks, in line with typical arrival times for spring collections.
There have been images floating around (below) of a previously unseen white Adidas sneaker with a knit sock upper and a Boost sole and it features the upside down Trefoil that has been a marker of the collaboration, and thus is rumored to be a part of offerings. We shall soon find out!
