As if Gucci under Alessandro Michele’s direction could be any more fun, the brand launches a “Souvenir” collection with handbags, luggage and small leather goods that feature country and region specific details.
All of the bags feature embroidered roses, along with additional detailing specific to the place. For America, the “Souvenir” bags are embroidered with the words “Blind for Love,” an ongoing tagline for the label that arose from the title for a Gucci book of photographs shot by Nick Waplington at the label’s cruise show held at Westminster Abbey last year.
In Europe, bags feature bees; in China, sacred hearts; in India, two elephants; and in Australia an anchor and a heart.
These bags will be sold exclusively at Gucci boutiques, which will only carry bags specific to the location.
