Missy Elliott Releases Her Electrifying ‘I’m Better’ Video

January 28, 2017. Leave a Comment

A surprise gift in what has been a rough January, hip-hop legend Missy Elliott has released an electrifying video for her Lamb-produced minimalist trap single “I’m Better.” In keeping with Missy’s gift for ground-breaking visuals, all the action is made to appear as though it takes place under water (and some of the dance moves actually do).

Directed by Dave Meyers, moves were choreographed by Sean Bankhead and Missy, who chatted about the choreography with Fact magazine. “I didn’t want them to hit every beat of the track, I wanted it to be art,” explained Missy.

In the same interview, Missy said she has enough album for five-six albums, but doesn’t want to commit to a date, preferring a sneak attack. We do know there is a Missy documentary on the horizon (see trailer below), but not date for that yet either.

Check out “I’m Better” below plus the trailer for her documentary.
