Adidas Consortium With Kith And Naked Show More Detailed Look At NMD City Sock

Adidas Consortium through New York’s Kith and Denmark’s Naked has provided additional imagery of their upcoming NMD City Sock, one of the freshest designs we’ve seen to emerge from Adidas’s Sneaker Exchange program, which is built on partnerships among Adidas’s top global creative partners.

The first image of the NMD City Sock was shown in sandstone and now a pink colorway has also emerged. Adidas’s three-stripe logo appears in metallic silver on white premium leather runner panels down the middle of the sneakers. Leather heel pulls include asymmetrical Kith and Naked branding. This new iteration of Adidas’s City Sock remains laceless, but has been updated with a fold-over detail on the lateral side to ease fit.

The adidas Consortium shoe made with Kith and Naked releases on March 4th at Kith and Naked stores and online shops.

Neither artists has commented on whether they are collaborating on new music, but the timing is ripe. Both artists have new music releasing: Twigs is releasing Eusexua on Jan. 24th, meanwhile Nicki is dropping Pink Friday 2: The Hiatus, on Dec. 13th.

First in hand look at Nike's upcoming 2025 Ekiden collection comprising four performance running shoes that include Vaporfly 3, AlphaFly 3, Zoom Fly 6 and Rival Fly 4 (not pictured).

The capsule is a celebration of Japan's ekiden races, a long-distance relay race. The first ekiden race was held in 1917, and was run over three days between the old Japanese capital of Kyoto and the modern capital of Tokyo, a distance of 508 km (316 miles).

The shoes are distinguished by a flame on the front half of the shoe meant to symbolize "the fire that burns within all racers and the torches used during the night legs of the earliest ekiden competitions."

While Nike has been producing ekidon running shoes since the '90s, the flame on the 2025 collection is inspired by a Zoom Spectrum, designed by Steve Smith in 2003. In 2018, Nike worked with Supreme to relaunch the shoe.

While exact pricing isn't yet available, the shoes are expected to launch in December 2024.

Louis Vuitton officially ended its partnership with Takashi Murakami in 2015, following the departure of creative director Marc Jacobs in 2013, who first initiated the collaboration with the Japanese artist in 2002.

For over 13 years, Murakami developed an iconic portfolio of designs for the house, including Cherry Blossom (2003), Panda (2004), Cerises (2005), MOCA Hands (2007), Monogramouflage (2008) and Cosmic Blossom (2010).
