While designer Riccardo Tisci may be moving on from Givenchy, he will continue to work with NikeLab on footwear and apparel collaborations. Up next, Tisci will put his spin on a shoe called the Nike Dunk Lux Chukka, a shoe that will be available in white, red and white.

“I think the Dunk has something that’s very special. It’s grounded in sport as well as in the street style culture” Tisci explained in an interview with Vogue.

Images for the campaign pair Tisci with model Bella Hadid, who signed on as a face of the brand in November 2016.

The first big name luxury designer to work with Nike, Tisci’s first collaboration on an Air Force 1 sneaker hit in 2014 and created a huge amount of buzz and excitement. In 2016, Tisci’s took on Nike’s Dunk silhouette and designed the NikeLab Dunk Lux High, plus the Free Train Force Flyknit and the Transform Flyknit and a Chelsea boot called the Air Zoom Legend.

Along with footwear, he also created a flower-themed apparel collection made in conjunction with the Brazil 2016 sumer Olympics.

The Dunk Lux Chukka  will be available beginning February 10, 2017, at NikeLab at Bergdorf Goodman, NikeLab 21 in New York, Dover Street Market New York, Kith Brooklyn and Concepts in New York. It will be available globally starting February 23 at NikeLab retailers and on nike.com/nikelab.

Givenchy reative director Matthew M. Williams will Givenchy reative director Matthew M. Williams will step down from the role following a three-year stint with the LVMH-owned label. Williams will present his final collection with a men's and women's pre-fall 2024 collection, to be unveiled in the coming days.

Leading the creative direction of Givenchy was, as I said upon my arrival in 2020, the dream of a lifetime,” Williams said in the statement. “Over these three years, I have strived to perpetuate Mr. Hubert de Givenchy’s legacy while bringing my own creative vision and I would like to sincerely thank the studio, Renaud de Lesquen and LVMH for this incredible opportunity.”

While Williams was credited with the buzzworthy Shark boot and Voyou handbag, he was often derided by the online fashion community for falling short of achieiving the same level of buzz and cool when the label was under Riccardo Tisci's creative direction from 2005 to 2017.

Williams will continue to head creative direction for his own label, 1017 Alyx 9SM, which recently announced plans to ramp up production and expand door count through a parntership with Adrian Cheng, a Hong Kong entrepreneur.
