In another testament to the enduring message of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” the song was performed by Rockin’ 1000. Described as the world’s largest rock group, the group is composed of 1,000 musicians equally divided among vocalists, drummers, guitarists and keyboardists, who do simultaneous live performance of major bangers. The Nirvana song was performed in Cesna, Italy back in July, but is now gaining some renewed attention with the official video for the event published just last week.
Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of dearly-departed Kurt Cobain, who wrote the song, responded to the video on Twitter and wrote, “This is fucking incredible. I think Kurt would have hysterically cried and laughed if he saw this.”

The 1,000 member band was founded in 2012 by Italian rock fan Fabio Zaffagnini, who started it up through a crowdfunding campaign.
