American singer/songwriter Jason Derula has released the visual for the pop dancehall single “Swalla,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj. If this type of music is not really your thing, it’s still fun to check out Minaj (she appears at 2:25) in her latex outfit, plus the The Royal Family Dance Crew, whose moves were choreographed by Parris Goebel.
Minaj is sporting a latex bikini by The Baroness, Pleaser boots and an Alexander McQueen visor, according to @onikaswardrobe.
As for Minaj’s bars, are there any swats at Remy Ma in the song? This song came out before Remy’s “ShETHER,” but it’s possible Minaj’s “I gave these bitches two years, now your time’s up,” line could be a reference to the year Minaj released her last album, Pinkprint, or it might speak to the amount of time Remy has been out of prison.
We believe it’s the former simply because it’s very common for rappers to describe the amount of time from their last project as an opportunity for others to overtake them. More likely, it was Minaj’s verses in “Make Love” with Gucci Mane that caused Remy to pull the trigger on “ShETHER.”
