In a surprise drop, Kanye West has debuted a 12-piece collection of 18k gold jewelry said to be inspired by 14th century Florentine art and made in collaboration with Jacob Arabo aka Jacob the Jeweler.
While the offerings seemingly popped out of nowhere, they were first shown on West’s Yeezy Season 4 runway and West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, has been wearing them in plain site for months (and it’s possible they were among the items stolen from her in Paris). As for the line’s reason for being, West said they were inspired by the most romantic of all notions, true love. “I wanted to create something that represented timeless love,” Kanye said in an interview with Vogue magazine.
Offerings include collection necklaces and medals, a simple bangle bracelet and rings, ranging in price from $1,530 for the engraved gold bands to $11,960 for the necklace.
The collection is now available on yeezysupply.com.
