ComplexCon returns with its 2nd annual festival and exhibition, that combines pop culture, art, music, food, style, and innovation will be taking place on November 4-5, 2017 in Long Beach, California.
Japanese artist Takashi Murakami will make his return to the event and will be part of a hosting committee that includes Pharrell Williams, Off White designer Virgil Abloh and Colette proprietor Sarah Andelman. Additional announcements related to show performers will roll out in the coming months.
Speaking on the event’s theme, Complex founder Marc Ecko stated, “It may sound idyllic, but we know through hard work and alchemy that 1+1 can equal 3. The only way we were able to successfully execute CompexCon last year was because of collaboration, which is why 2017’s theme is Collaboration. We are asking all participants, from our audience, and exhibitors to the performers and host committee, to bring their diverse energy and innovations together to emphasize how collaboration contours our lives.”
Pharrell also chimed in. “There’s nothing like ComplexCon; it’s unique for anyone who loves fashion, music, and art,” said Williams. The power of ComplexCon is that it erases the lines between all these passions and shows us that everything influences each other.”
