Singer Lana Del Rey has released the video for “Lust for Life,” featuring The Weeknd. Referencing lyrics inspired by “My Boyfriend’s Back” by The Angels, the visual taps into ’60s-era, girl group vibes and later includes a shoot simulating the two sitting atop and sliding down the side of the famous Hollywood sign.
“Lust for Life” is the title track from her upcoming, fifth EP. The song is Del Rey’s third collaboration with The Weeknd, who she credits with being a major boost to her career.
“He’s kind of the reason I was ever on the radio like six years ago,” she said in a KROQ interview quoted by Rolling Stone. “He started posting all my videos on his Tumblr and social media; he’s been in touch with me ever since then. He’s always been really supportive. He had his own path, which led him to this place that’s crazy big. But we’ve just been friends for maybe the past six years.”
Del Rey also has plans for a collaboration with Stevie Nicks and in the same interview revealed it would be titled “Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems.”
