Top Dawg Entertainment-signed singer/songwriter SZA announced through social media today (May 24, 2017) plans to drop her CTRL album on June 9th. The announcement was officially made through a series of short video clips showing the title of the album followed by the date.
All three videos featured SZA in front of a pile of old TVs, a visual that included voice over via Wu-Tang Clan member RZA. It’s not clear if his bars will be on CTRL (hope so!), but we can say for sure he and SZA share a neat, previously unobserved synergistic name energy.
SZA’s last album, Z, was released in 2014. Thus far she’s released two singles from the album, “Drew Barrymore” and “Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott.
