Adidas has announced plans for an art-themed collaboration with Colossal Media, the world leader in hand painted outdoor advertising. The effort will be realized through a series of large, outdoor murals located in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn.
The original artwork is inspired by Adidas’ latest campaign for its PureBoost DPR silhouette and features work by artists Amber Vittoria, Ben Clarke, Daniel Zender, Laura Bee, Leanna Perry, David Silverstein and Ilana Blady, all of whom worked with Adidas designers, Samm McAlear and Jean Khalife, and Colossal designers, Elise Kei-Rahn and Pete Freeman.
“At the Brooklyn Creator Farm, we have the opportunity to work with New York City’s incredibly talented creative community, and this Colossal collaboration is a perfect of example of that,” said Adidas Brooklyn Farm creative concept and storytelling director Jose Cabaco. “Bringing together such a diverse group of visual artists, we wanted to celebrate the many urban runners that run this city, capturing the energy of that sport along the streets they’ve made their own.”
Murals ranging from in size from 149 to 1,050 square feet are on display through August 13, 2017, in ten locations in Bushwick, including: Siegel Street and Bogart Street; Morgan Avenue and Meserole Street; Morgan Avenue and Harrison Place; Grattan Street between Morgan Avenue and Bogart Street; Johnson Avenue and Scott Avenue; Morgan Avenue and Stagg Street; Johnson Avenue and Bushwick Place; Bogart Street and Cook Street; Meserole Street and Waterbury Street; and Wyckoff Avenue and Troutman Street.
