Taking inspiration from its popular NMD silhouette, Adidas Originals has created a line of clothing inspired by the irreverent yet technical approach of the sneaker. Using modern fabrics, progressive constructions and a utilitarian aesthetic, the NMD apparel collection transforms classic streetwear silhouettes into calculated utilitarian garments.
Men’s offerings are rooted in a white, black and grey color palette, offerings include burnt orange, animal print and raindrop accents, akin to the heel tabs on the NMD. Noteworthy men’s items include a reversible jacket, windbreaker and Primaloft vest, plus a backpack parka, which can be packed down into a backpack design when not in use.
Women’s offerings are themed on a mostly white and dark blue color story with pops of orange plus a laser-cut hexagonal motif. Pieces include lightweight t-shirts, tank tops and jerseys with extended cuts and wide fits heightened with panel construction and tape details.
The range includes a wide range of bag designs, ranging from pocket-filled, utilitarian backpacks to small purses. There is also an accessory line, including headwear, gloves and keychains.
