Rumors of a Cardi B and Offset engagement were flying this past week and on the red carpet at MTV’s Video Music Awards, Charlamagne asked her to confirm whether or not she had been chosen by the Migos member.
Cardi B sang her answer, pointing out there was no engagement ring on her finger, but added that yes, she would like to be married. “I’m a woman, I think every woman wants to marry and have children,” said Cardi. This is definitely true in the case of Cardi, who has often spoke about wanting to have children at a young age and and came close to marrying her incarcerated ex-boyfriend.
Styled by Kollin Carter, she walked the red carpet in a white gown with a cone bra by Christian Siriano that exuded wedding dress vibes, and also recalled Madonna‘s infamous Jean Paul Gaultier-designed cone bras worn during her “Blonde Ambition” tour in 1990.
The Bronx rapper performed “Bodak Yellow” at MTV’s pre-show event, a song that is now sitting pretty at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100’s chart.
For the performance, she wore a crystal bodysuit paired with one of the season’s hottest items, a pair of now sold out, $10,000 Saint Laurent Swarovski crystal boots.
