Born in Spain and raised in Stockholm, singer Mabel McVey has released a video for her chill upbeat track “Finders Keepers,” a visual featuring U.K. rapper Kojo Funds from McVey’s “Bedroom” EP.
Staged in a nightclub, the visuals take the viewer on a fun journey where the power of chemistry and good times is played out through a beautifully diverse cast. Released just 24 hours ago, the Savanah Leaf-directed video already has over 160,000 views and 630 comments.
In an interview this week (August 16th) with the U.K.’s Evening Standard, the 21-year-old Polydor recording artist shared her musical aspirations and influences. “I’m not going to lie, I’d love to win a Grammy,” she said. “Underground isn’t the word I’d use to describe my childhood dreams. I definitely idolized Beyoncé growing up. I remember going to her shows and being like, ‘I would love to sing for thousands and thousands of people.’ I’m not embarrassed to say I want to be successful, but only on my terms.”
McVey has plans to release a mixtape in September 2017.
