Kith Sport’s Men’s And Women’s Collection Driven By Three Guiding Principles

September 9, 2017. Leave a Comment

Kith Sport on Thursday (September 7, 2017) showed its second runway presentation during New York Fashion Week, an extensive, 100-look collection that easily out shined much more established competition. Men’s and women’s offerings included collaborations with Nike, Adidas, Moncler, Champion, Disney and Coca-Cola, among others.

Notably, NBA greats LeBron James and Scottie Pippen both made appearances on the runway, which is not without precedence. Kith founder and head creative Ronnie Fieg since his early days working at David Z always was the go-to guy for hip-hop and sports celebs looking for the hottest product. One of his earlier look books featured then Giants player Victor Cruz.

As for the offerings Fieg is not a bells and whistles guy so while offerings might not include the latest hot trend, they stay true to original wish to create quality goods inspired by a three prong criteria. As Fieg explained in a recent interview with Complex, “One, is it missing in my closet, first and foremost? Two, can I tell a real story, is it going to be authentic to me and are people going to want to hear, want to lean, want to absorb the information that is being put out? And three, is going to sit well in the timeline, is it going to be a notch in the timeline?”
