Timberland and New-York-based Opening Ceremony are once again combining forces, working on a collaborative version of the cozy Convenience Boot. Offered in pink, white, black and wheat, the updated version of the water-resistant, nubuck leather boot is lined in shearling and marked by extra-wide elastic laces.
Opening Ceremony introduced the boot with a Christelle de Castro-shot editorial featuring DJs Kim Foxman, Nicole Albino, Total Feedom aka Ashland Mines, Dicap aka Anthony Dicapua.
Describing the participants, Opening Ceremony wrote, “Music and nightlife have long been part of Opening Ceremony’s DNA, and the DJs selected are part of our extended family, playing our parties, attending our fashion shows, and shopping at our stores.
“Each of them cultivates a totally original sound which has made a mark on downtown New York. Kim Ann Foxman, formerly the vocalist of Hercules and Love Affair, now runs her own Brooklyn-based R&B and house label, Firehouse recordings. Nicole Albino, one-half of Nina Sky, has been crafting pop and R&B since she was a kid growing up in Queens. Ashland Mines, aka. Total Freedom, has soundtracked some of the best parties of the last decade, from Los Angeles’s Wildness to Brooklyn’s GHE20G0TH1K. Anthony Dicapua, aka Dicap, also a visual artist, is a resident at Ladyfag’s Holy Mountain and frequent Juliana Huxtable collaborator.”
Priced at $250, the Convenience boot is now available for purchase online at Opening Ceremony.
