Stella McCartney has tapped London-based filmmaker Marie Schuller to direct a film highlighting her Adidas by Stella McCartney fall 2017 offerings.
Shot in Japan, the film focuses on female identity and a willingness to take a stand. Featuring model Chiharu Okunugi and dancer/model Aya Sato, the film mixes outdoor street shots with darkened club scenes, all backed by a thumping techno music track by YSMF by Skinny Patrini and Adriano Canzian.
“We tried to form a story around the same narrative that also inspired the collection itself, Japanese culture and identity but also concepts of rebellion and individuality,” said Schuller commenting on the short.
