October 20, 2017. 2 Comments

It’s common knowledge among retailers in the age of internet that one needs to do more than just open one’s door and hope people decide to leave their homes and come shop. Over the past few years, retailers have begun to add on all sort of enticing events to lure customers into their stores.

In partnership with streetwear site Highsnobiety, Barneys New York is using its considerable space along with extensive, top-tier relationships to host a weekend-long series of activations within its Madison Avenue store. The event will see the release of more than 30 exclusive capsule collections plus 40 in-store activations and designer appearances.

DJs include Heron Preston and Virgil Abloh, a curated space by Fear of God designer Jerry Lorenzo, a custom Fila installation, tattoos provided by JonBoy and piercings via J. Colby Smith.

The Drop at Barney’s will take place Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday, October 29th from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Barneys located at Madison Avenue and 61st Street. Judging by the schedule, Saturday definitely is the day you want to be there.
