Kith Women On Bleecker Street Closes; Plans To Relocate

October 3, 2017. Leave a Comment

Kith Women has announced its Bleecker Street location in Manhattan is closed as of October 1, 2017. According to the Instagram post announcement, there are plans to open a new location. “Today will be the last day our 65 Bleecker St. shop will be open. We will be relocating to a new location. Thank you to everyone who shopped with us for the past 2 years. We hope to see you soon at our new shop. Stay tuned for more info,” reads the post.

There was no additional information on why the shop was shuttered or where the new store will be located.  Within the comments, the person managing the account noted the Kith Women’s line will be carried at the Kith Brooklyn store located at 233 Flatbush Avenue. Kith Women is also available to purchase on kith.com.

Kith Women opened just under two years ago on December 18, 2015. The store stocked an array of sneakers sized for women plus athletic-themed apparel by brands including Nike, Adidas, Stella McCartney and Kith.

While major athletic brands often speak of prioritizing growth of their women’s business, the female customer has always been notoriously tricky to sell to.
