SZA held a free concert yesterday (October 10, 2017) in New York at The Box, a venue in the Lower East Side of Manhattan that has a capacity of 300. Because the venue is small and SZA’s fan base is large, she explained on Twitter the original plan was to have two back-to-back shows.
None of that went according to plan because tons of people showed up, neighbors complained and the cops made everyone who didn’t make it into the first show go home.
Those who made it inside were treated to an up close and personal experience with SZA, who brought out Travis Scott for “Love Galore.” Rihanna also rolled through the event, going casual with braids and bedecked in a Burberry cap and coat.
