Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian And CL All Sport Wang Leiber Money Clutch

October 19, 2017. Leave a Comment

Alexander Wang and Judith Lebier have hit the fashion-celeb quadfecta with Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and CL aka Lee Chae-Rin all spotted carrying their collaborative Swarovski-studded, money roll minaudière.

Naturally, Rihanna presented hers with a twist, using it to add some bling to her pvc Delvaux tote bag. And while, Rihanna is usually first, this time around it was Korean-born pop star CL who was the first to flash the clutch, posting a picture from an event in Singapore on her Instagram account in late September 2017.

Priced at $5,000, the clutches were first shown on Wang’s spring 2018 runway. Only 20 were made and not surprisingly, they’re sold out.

Did any of those four celebrities actually pay list price for the clutch? Was it gifted only temporarily in exchange for a paycheck? Wang will surely never tell.

Check out all four celebs below.

With wider fits and chino swinging back into popularity, we can't help but wonder what sneakers and shoes will be coming along for the ride. Any nominations?

The GOAT Serena Williams says farewell to her care The GOAT Serena Williams says farewell to her career as a professional tennis player in the September issue of American Vogue.

In the cover story, which is a must read, Williams shares some thoughts on her evolution away from tennis and says,"Believe me, I never wanted to have to choose between tennis and a family. I don’t think it’s fair. If I were a guy, I wouldn’t be writing this because I’d be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family. Maybe I’d be more of a Tom Brady if I had that opportunity. Don’t get me wrong: I love being a woman, and I loved every second of being pregnant with Olympia. I was one of those annoying women who adored being pregnant and was working until the day I had to report to the hospital—although things got super complicated on the other side. And I almost did do the impossible: A lot of people don’t realize that I was two months pregnant when I won the Australian Open in 2017."

The cover editorial was styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who in 2020 became the first black woman to style a U.S. Vogue cover.

This cover was also one of the last projects hairstylist #LatishaChong worked on before she sadly passed away in July this year.

Make-up by Raisa Flowers, nails by Dawn Sterling, and photography by Luis Alberto Rodriguez.
In 'Summer Renaissance' from Beyoncé's Renaissanc In 'Summer Renaissance' from Beyoncé's Renaissance album, the lyrics" This Telfar bag imported, Birkins, them shits in storage." Is creating a bit of a stir between the pro and anti Birkin dolls.

After The Cut published a story titled "Our Condolences To The Birkin" the internet got into their feelings.

The last video is by stylist Ebony Brown ( TiKTok fashionablyfearless) who does not support owning a Birkin.
