Leikeli47 in part two of her Snobette interview (watch part one here) speaks about her writing process and some of the authors who impacted her growing up, citing James Baldwin, Maya Angelou and Nikki Giovanni as big influences.
She also spoke of her visuals and credited having an amazing team. “I get busy with my people and actually that’s how I like my rooms,” said Leikeli.
On the topic of having her music included in Issa Rae‘s HBO series “Insecure,” Leikeli explained how she got involved with the series and revealed that her single “Attitude” was inspired by Issa’s monologues on the series.
Touching on fashion, Leikeli weighed in on the Gucci and Dapper Dan collaboration, stating, “I’m glad that it came together especially someone like Dapper Dan who has been so influential in fashion period.
