Tennis great Serena Williams has been providing delight all weekend through images from her wedding to Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian on November 16, 2017, in the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans.
Williams wore a ballgown dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and wed in front of guests that included Beyoncé, Tina Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Kim Kardashian West, Anna Wintour, Ciara and La La Anthony.
During vows, according to Vogue, Ohanian gave a tear-inducing speech, stating, “I will always have bad jokes that make your eyes roll, make you give me the side eye. You are the greatest of all time, not just in sport, I’m talking about as a mother and as a wife. I am so excited to write so many more chapters of our fairy tale together. And my whole life I didn’t even realize it, but I was waiting for this moment. And everything that I have done, everything that I am so proud of in my career, and in my life, for the last 34 years, pales in comparison to what we’re doing today. And I am so grateful, and I am so in love.”
Williams wore two different Versace dresses for the dinner and reception and in the most adorable photo of the evening, was captured on a carousel smooching with her husband wearing a purely delightful pair of Swarovski crystal-embellished pair of Nike Cortez sneakers.
