Atlanta-born model Chanel Iman and New York Giants player Sterling Shepard are headed to the alter. Shepard got down on bended knee on a candle-filled Brooklyn rooftop on Saturday night (December 2, 2017). The couple then attended a party at SPiN celebrating Iman’s 27th birthday.
Looking very much like the epitome of an adorable off duty model, Iman wore a white fluffy jacket, black leggings and a pair of Vans sneakers. Her fiance was the ying to her yang, sporting a black denim jacket and Fear of God high-top sneakers.
Referencing his role as an wide receiver, the 24-year-old Shepard, wrote on Instagram, “The catch of my dreams…can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you!”
Two days prior, he wished Iman a happy birthday, posting a picture of her in a bikini with a caption that read, “Happy birthday my beautiful lady, I love you more than words could explain. Now bring that ass home to papa!”
Iman and Shepard have been dating for just over a year and appeared together in an NFL-related campaign for New Era in August 2017.
According to People, the two met at Victor Cruz’s birthday party last November. Iman knew Cruz through working on him on fashion shoots, while Shepard and Cruz were teammates with the Giants. “I walked up to her and bought her a drink and it was over after that,” said Shepard.
