Jordan Shows Three New Women’s Silhouettes With Campaign Ft. Leikeli47

Nike has been talking a big game on delivering more for women and it put its money where its mouth is with the roll out of a splashy collection of Jordan Retro shoes, a collection that marks the official debut of shoes offered in women’s sizes rather than just grade school sizing.

Jordan made the announcement with a campaign featuring multiple female influencers plus a video featuring the single “Look” by Brooklyn rapper Leikeli47.

The first drop for spring includes three silhouettes: Jordan I SOH (Season of Her), marked by suede and satin detailing and ten different pastel colorways; Air Jordan I Hi Zip features a sock liner, premium leather upper and zipper closure; and Jordan XII offered in a Vachetta Tan suede upper.

The spring 2018 collection is offered in women’s sizes 5-12 and grade school sizing 3.5-10.5.

Reflecting on the presentation with Vogue, designer Demna Gvasalia said, "We have to trigger emotion.We live in a terrifying world, and I think fashion is a reflection of that… I think it was quite urgent, a quite urgent show.The most important kind of challenge for any kind of creative is to make a product that is desirable, to create desire. That’s what fashion should do."

Balenciaga and Adidas' collab was unveiled during the show and is now available for pre-order on balenciaga.com until May 29th!

As styled by Haley Wollens, the ever-tasteful Sevigny wore a sheer gown from Glenn Martens’s spring 2022 couture collection for Jean Paul Gaultier. 

Guests included Sevigny's bestie Natasha Lyonne plus Kim Gordon, Coco Gordon Moore, Jim Jarmusch, Derek Blasberg, Humberto Leon, Carol Lim, Olivier Zahm, and Arden Wohl.
