Atlanta FX Director Posts Deleted TLC Dance Scene

April 30, 2018. Leave a Comment

Atlanta’s ninth episode titled “North of The Border was based on a visit to a college campus where Al aka Paperboi was booked to perform. In keeping with the theme of the event, Al, Earn and Darius all wear silk pajamas throughout the episode that were clearly inspired by TLC’s “Creep” video.

The episode proves to be a very rough one for Earn and that could be why a very lighthearted scene featuring all three characters dancing to “Creep” ended on the cutting room floor.

This morning (April 30, 2018), Hiro Murai this morning was kind enough to resurrect the scene on his Instagram page.

Since this show loves its symbols, keep in mind that the blue pajamas were sported by group leaders Al and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins while the red pajamas were shared by crew philosophers/cut-ups Darius and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez. It’s not clear what commonality they share, but Earn and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas both wore magenta jammies.

Check it out below along with the original TLC visual.

Part of his debut collection with the retailer, the men's "giant fit" chino priced at 89.50 is 100% sold out! Relecting the popularity of the silhouette, the women's wide-leg pleated cargo is also sold out.

With wider fits and chino swinging back into popularity, we can't help but wonder what sneakers and shoes will be coming along for the ride. Any nominations?

The GOAT Serena Williams says farewell to her care The GOAT Serena Williams says farewell to her career as a professional tennis player in the September issue of American Vogue.

In the cover story, which is a must read, Williams shares some thoughts on her evolution away from tennis and says,"Believe me, I never wanted to have to choose between tennis and a family. I don’t think it’s fair. If I were a guy, I wouldn’t be writing this because I’d be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family. Maybe I’d be more of a Tom Brady if I had that opportunity. Don’t get me wrong: I love being a woman, and I loved every second of being pregnant with Olympia. I was one of those annoying women who adored being pregnant and was working until the day I had to report to the hospital—although things got super complicated on the other side. And I almost did do the impossible: A lot of people don’t realize that I was two months pregnant when I won the Australian Open in 2017."

The cover editorial was styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who in 2020 became the first black woman to style a U.S. Vogue cover.

This cover was also one of the last projects hairstylist #LatishaChong worked on before she sadly passed away in July this year.
