Louis Vuitton as led by Nicolas Ghesquière presented its cruise 2019 collection today (May 28, 2018) with a runway presentation held at the Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France.
Designed by architect Josep Lluis Sert, the Fondation Maeght is a museum for modern art and reflects Ghesquière’s own affinity for contemporary architecture and art.
The presentation included a collaboration with former Vogue editor Grace Coddington, who provided an illustrations of her cats Pumpkin (who has his own Ig page) and Blanket along with Ghesquière’s dog Léon that were used as a graphic on accessories. The fur-friendly collection will hit stores in October 2019.
Eschewing heels of any kind, footwear was dominated by new colors of Louis Vuitton’s Arclight sneaker as well as an over-the-knee version of the shoe.
In terms of guests, no one caused a bigger commotion than Exo singer/daincer Sehun aka Oh Se-hun, who clearly has a very dedicated and large following based on the massive amount of coverage of him during and after the show.
