Very much on the comeback trail, Nicki Minaj provided her fans with a simultaneous drop of videos for “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun Li,” a song that’s inspired a #chunli dance challenge on Instagram. “Barbie Tingz” was directed by Giovanni Bianco while “Chun Li” was directed by Steven Klein.
Shot against a white backdrop, Minaj wears seven very different looks in “Barbie Tingz,” a visual described as the return of Harajuku Barbie. Costumes include a cropped Fendi fur and thong, plus a pop-art-inspired pink corset and yellow skirt by Marina Hoermansede with purple boots by Balenciaga and inflatable arm accessories by Venus Prototype. For the puppet strings look, she wears a Kaimin bodysuit and a Maison Margiela crinoline skirt. Find additional details via @onikaswardrobe.
Minaj opens “Chun Li” with a new, spoken introduction referencing The Pinkprint, and includes dance moves by piping hot dancer/choreographer Aliya Janell.
