The ever playful Nicki Minaj is stirring up chatter over whether she’s dating Eminem. It all started on Instagram where Minaj posted her verse from YG’s “Big Bank” single on Instagram. In one line, she references Slim Shady, spitting, “Told em’ I met Slim Shady, bag the Em. Once he go black, he’ll be back again.”
When a fan asked her if the lyrics imply she’s dating Eminem, the Queen rapper plainly responded, “yes.”
Eminem joined in and wrote, “girl, you know it’s true,” to which Minaj responded, “babe I thought we were gonna keep it on the low til the wedding. Yikes. I’ll talk to you when I get home.”
Following her relationship with Meek Mill, Minaj dated Queens-native Nas though the relationship never seemed to be on firm footing. In December 2017, the two split for good and at the same time, Minaj took a lengthy break from social media.
Do we think these two are an item? Absolutely not. Minaj is in album mode at the moment and there’s no way she’s going to entertain a high-profile relationship while on her music grind.
Nonetheless, props to Minaj for her multi-tasking abilities–cooking up heat while keeping her fans thoroughly entertained.
