Rihanna adds another Vogue cover to the stack, landing the June 2018 issue of Vogue magazine, a story shot in Ibiza by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott. She’s wearing a dress by Dolce & Gabbana for the cover story.
In the interview, Rihanna reveals that her ninth album will be reggae themed, and while Bob Marley is her favorite reggae artist (fave songs: “Three Little Birds,” “No Woman, No Cry,” and “Redemption Song”), she hints that the record will be influenced by Jamaican producer Supa Dupa.
She also reveals she’s in a relationship though doesn’t mention Hassan Jameel by name, stating, ““I used to feel guilty about taking personal time, but I also think I never met someone who was worth it before.”
On the topic of her ex, Drake, she said she was embarrassed by his speech when she was awarded the MTV Video Vanguard award in 2016. “Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don’t like too many compliments; I don’t like to be put on blast,” she said, adding, “We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is.”
The Bajan boss is known for love of reality TV and in the interview she let it be known that Lisa Vanderpump of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is an idol of sorts, saying, “Tell me who is a badder bitch than Lisa Vanderpump! She’s goals AF!”
In the editorial, Rihanna lands another fashion first, revealing a swimsuit from Chanel’s upcoming Coco Beach line, which will be shown during the label’s upcoming resort presentation.
