New York-based Kari Cruz, who leads designs for Undrcwn and Trophy Hunting has teamed up with the WBNA’s New York Liberty and the National Women’s Soccer League’s (NWSL) New York Gotham FC to create a powerful and symbolic merch collection titled “Pass Her The Torch.”
Cruz, who previously collaborated with the New York Nets and is a key player on Rihanna‘s Fenty by Puma design team, brings a unique perspective to this collaboration. The “Pass Her The Torch” capsule blends fashion, sports, and culture, embodying the spirit of New York’s most iconic symbol—the Statue of Liberty. The torch, a symbol of freedom and enlightenment, is reimagined to represent the strength, unity, and progress of women.
Comprising of a hoodie and t-shirt that reference The Liberty’s seafoam green and black team colors (just like Lady Liberty herself), Cruz’s “Pass Her Torch” urges women to uplift each other, much like the torchbearers of the past who paved the way for future generations.
Kari Cruz and NY Liberty and Gotham FC’s “Pass Her The Torch” collaboration will be available exclusive at the Brooklyn Fanatics store at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
