Famed platform sneaker brand Buffalo London is expanding its reach with plans to expand the brand’s availability in North America. We checked in with the brand today (June 12, 2018) at its fall 2019 preview, an event hosted by Cala inside Next Century 21 in downtown Manhattan.
Commenting on plans for the brand, Buffalo COO Mirko Ostendörfer explained, “We’ve approached our relaunch very strategically by working with very specific boutique partners and we are very happy with the result. The U.S market is of course key in that strategy.We will expand with a broader distribution with our Buffalo brand which will include some lower price styles but at the same time, maintaining exclusivity.
Ostendörfer noted the brand’s appeal extends beyond nostalgia, adding,”It’s also been very exciting to see a new customer like my 14-year-old daughter who has no reference of the Spice Girls or ’90s rave style get excited about the shoes.”
With several collaborations in the works, upcoming Buffalo London styles will include a lot more colors, prints, florals and even sandals.
