Fila and Barneys have reunited for a second premium “XO” capsule available exclusively at the chain. Offerings made their debut at Barneys Los Angeles as part of the its second “The Drop” event, held on June 2-3, 2018.
Women’s offerings include Fila’s popular Disruptor 2 offered in two colorways: grey and black highlighted with a brightly-colored Fila logo.
Just like the first Fila and Barney’s collaboration, the shoe features an “x” embroidered on the left heel tab and an “O” on the right one. Fila’s logo appears on the shoe’s tongue, quarter, midsole, and back counter, while FILA XO Barneys New York branding decorates the footbed. In addition to the sneaker, there’s also a Disruptor sandal offered in the same color schemes as the sneakers.
Women’s apparel includes cropped hoodies and t-shirts combining Fila’s logo with “LA,” a reference to the location of “The Drop” event.
The sneaker is priced at $120 and the sandal is $80. Both can be purchased at select Barneys stores plus barneys.com.
Tapping into Fila’s combined New York and Italian roots, the label’s shop-in-shop was a pizza parlor, where guests could take a break from shopping and enjoy a (New York-style) slice.
