New York-based Omondi as led by Recho OMondi has announced a limited edition set of “Omondi Division” long-sleeve t-shirts featuring sci-fi-inspired green graphics printed on the back, sleeves and chest.
While Omondi presents collections, she doesn’t show in accordance with seasonal schedule. In a recent interview with Refinery29, she explained, “Men and women don’t need to be fed a collection every six months, they just need pieces. They already know what they like. If you were to ask a recording artist what’s their brand, you have to expect that their first album is going be wildly different than the fourth. I just want the flexibility to do to that as a designer.”
In the interview, Omondi let it be known she has applied to the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund and will find out in July if she’s made the cut.
Priced at $75, the Omondi Division t-shirt is now available for pre-order at rechoomondi.com.
