Rihanna was spotted in Boston on Sunday (June 3, 2018) having a drink with Naphia White, a member of her beauty team, at Cafeteria Boston on Newbury Street. While there was no sign of her rumored boyfriend, Hassan Jameel, the last time she seen was in the city in October 2017, she was spotted over the course of a weekend with Jameel enjoying two dinner dates, ending with a trip to Lucky Strike where she and Jameel bowled with another couple.
According to the Boston Globe, Jameel makes regular visits to Boston in relation to his charity, Community Jameel, which “has partnered with MIT to create the Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL), which works with educators, universities, governments, and companies to prepare people for a labor market altered by technological progress and globalization.”
Multiple major media outlets this past weekend reported Rihanna had broken up with Jameel with the explanation she had grown bored with the relationship. The wide coverage of the story was surprising because it was taken from Media Takeout, which in general is not viewed as a reliable source.
In the June 2018 issue of Vogue, she didn’t mention Jameel, but said she was in a relationship she felt good about. “I used to feel guilty about taking personal time, but I also think I never met someone who was worth it before,” she stated.
