London-based designer Alexandra Hacket aka Mini Swoosh showed her debut presentation through Studio ALCH, which has functioned as the label for her one-off creative endeavors.
A longtime Nike connoisseur and collaborator, Hacket’s event was hosted by the brand in its 1948 space in Shoreditch, London as part of London Fashion Week for men. The men’s and women’s collection included sporty dresses, jackets, trackpants and slacks, all of which included clever material stories, like trousers, shorts and a bucket hat composed of lanyards and puffer vests.
Through the years, the Australian-born Hacket has become known for her interest in repurposing and reconstructing unusual fabrics and details to create garments utilitarian garments and accessories with a wry edge. Long before it became a thing, she had created a bucket hat and wallet made of Ikea’s famed blue Frakta bag.
In addition to her ongoing collaborative efforts with Nike, she’s also created custom pieces for Kendrick Lamar, Skepta and Stormzy.
