Chromat Comes Through Dripping (Water) For Spring 2019

Chromat wowed the crowd yesterday (September 7, 2018) with a spring 2019 collection shown during New York Fashion Week. Titled “Saturation,” Cromat’s signature cute-yet-fierce looks were inspired by the concept of wet t-shirts, a concept further driven home by models who walked the runway dripping wet.

Expanding on the label commitment’s to inclusive sizing, the label extended sizing to 3X this past summer and in show press announced plans to offer larger sizes in coming seasons.

The presentations truly diverse cast was made up of Cleo, Kadija, Shaderska, Shan, Tida, JiYoung, Emme, Jazzmine, Veronica, Mama Cax, Eva Kay, Hailey Foster, Seynabou, Sonny, and Victoria Gomez, Diandra, Carmen, Dakota, Camille, Asianna, Ese, Mia Michaels, Natalia, Samirah, Mia Kang, Oliva Burgess, Priscilla, Eddie, Ericka hart, Genna Rocer, Kimberly Drew, L’Ka, Leyna Bloom, Maya Mones, Naima, Stacy Ann and Tea Benton.

Models wore jewelry designed by Anna Kikue, headgear by Eugenia Kim and shoes by Dr. Martens, Sorel, Melissa and Simmi.

#Balenciaga hosted its spring 2023 runway show at #Balenciaga hosted its spring 2023 runway show at the NYSE this past Sunday. Guests included Kanye West, Megan Thee Stallion, Chloë Sevigny, Tremaine Emory, and Marc Jacobs to name a few.

Reflecting on the presentation with Vogue, designer Demna Gvasalia said, "We have to trigger emotion.We live in a terrifying world, and I think fashion is a reflection of that… I think it was quite urgent, a quite urgent show.The most important kind of challenge for any kind of creative is to make a product that is desirable, to create desire. That’s what fashion should do."

Balenciaga and Adidas' collab was unveiled during the show and is now available for pre-order on balenciaga.com until May 29th!
