Ever controversial designer Phillip Plein presented his spring 2019 collection in Milan where he once again tapped into of-the-moment creatives and models to inject the event with added buzz.
Wearing flashy garments as inspired by some of Michael Jackson’s most iconic looks, models included Cardi B’s little sister, Hennessy Carolina along with her girlfriend, Michelle Melo, plus models Winnie Harlow, Halima Aden and Duckie Thot, among others.
If none of the above ruffled your feathers, Plein put an exclamation on the event with performances by Tekashi69 and Chris Brown. Brown was an apt choice in part because of his well-known appreciation for Jackson but also because he’s as least as controversial as Plein.
If ever there was a thought fashion’s elite class had faded into obscurity with print publications, the reaction to Plein’s presentations are always a reminder they’re alive, well and still opinionated.
