The opening skit for “Saturday Night Live” last night (October 13, 2018) took on Kanye West’s visit to the Whitehouse on October 11th when he met with Donald Trump in an Oval Office meeting that included former NFL player, Jim Brown, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and a room packed with reporters.
In the skit, Alec Baldwin reprises his role as Trump, with West played by Chris Redd and Brown handled by Kenan Thompson.
The skit included the appearance of a pair of West’s Yeezy 350 V3 cream sneakers with Trump thanking him for a pair. “I want to thank you for giving me a pair of sneakers. They’re perfect for me, they’re white, they’re wide and they’re never going to be worth as much as you say they are,” said Trump.
From that point forward, the skit played so close to reality it was almost as depressing as the original meeting.
