Louis Vuitton officially launched Virgil Abloh’s debut menswear collection with a party at a pop-up store in London on October 20, 2018. Attendees at the event included Frank Ocean, Idris Elba, Rita Ora, Adwoa Aboah, Sita Abellan and Lash.
Reflecting the Wizard of Oz theme of the collection, the pop-up features motifs like the film’s famed yellow-brick road and poppy fields.
Thus far Louis Vuitton only has provided info only on the London pop-up location, which is open from October 21-25, 2018. You can book tickets for the location here.
However, there are images of a Shanghai pop-up circulating and there will probably be additional stores in major cities including possibly New York, Paris, Tokyo and Seoul.
According to Instagram account @dlouisvdotcom, the pop-ups will include seven leather good pieces, 11 accessories, 24 ready-to-wear items and three shoe silhouettes. Some of these pieces will be exclusive to the pop up and won’t return with the official global launch of the collection in January 2019.
There will be an invite to pre-order the January collection but according to the same account, it is invite only. However, there may be additional pre-order opportunities closer to the January launch.
